The Fredericton Playhouse depends on our amazing volunteers to make our patrons’ experiences memorable ones. If you have a knack for customer service, like working in a fast-paced team environment, and have a desire to contribute to the arts and community life, then volunteering at the Playhouse may be right for you! The Fredericton Playhouse not only provides facilities and services to our community, but also provides its own series of programs throughout the year. The Spotlight Series is the flagship program, featuring professional performances in music, theatre, comedy, circus and dance from local, national, and international artists. The artist residency program called InterMISSION established during the pandemic will continue to expand the capacity and activities in the theatre during quiet periods in the annual programming cycle. Designed for local artists to nurture and support creativity and innovative practices in their craft, the InterMISSION residency program offers artists mentorship, access to professional facilities, and support. Our technical staff, specializing in theatrical lighting, sound, and multi-media arts, are available to the artists to work on individually designed proposals of development and exploration. The Playhouse staff is also available to assist with designing proposals, grant writing, production tutorials or other educational components involved in an artist’s creative project. The most convenient parking is found in the new East End Parking Garage. Note that parking in the garage is available 24/7 for a nominal fee. In addition, there are various other parking options available for patrons. In the evenings there is free parking along nearby city streets and in several nearby lots & garages including: Boyce Farmers Market Carleton St. behind the Library/Officer’s Square Brunswick St. Parking Garage We recommend that you allow yourself a few extra minutes before curtain time so that you may find suitable parking and get settled into your seats to enjoy the performance.
