Located in beautiful downtown Fredericton adjacent to the provincial legislature, the Fredericton Playhouse has been providing a professional venue for the performing arts for decades. The Playhouse was a gift from Lord and Lady Beaverbrook to the people of New Brunswick in 1964. The facility was renovated in 1972 to expand technical capabilities and improve audience-to-performer relationship, or intimacy. The Fredericton Playhouse is a volunteer-directed, charitable organization that brings the magic of live performance to our community. By providing our stage to local, Canadian, and international musicians, actors, dancers, and other artists, we create opportunities for inspiring cultural experiences and entertainment for audiences of all ages.
