Fredericton Playhouse Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer-directed organization which manages and develops a live performance venue in downtown Fredericton. The Playhouse is a venue for local, national, and international artists and companies, and offers programs for the community. We operate an integrated partnership with the City of Fredericton; although we function at arm's length from the municipality, strong financial, operational, and governance links to the City exist. The Fredericton Playhouse is a volunteer-directed, charitable organization that brings the magic of live performance to our community. By providing our stage to local, Canadian, and international musicians, actors, dancers, and other artists, we create opportunities for inspiring cultural experiences and entertainment for audiences of all ages. The Playhouse will be moving to the new performing arts centre (Hawkes Centre for the Arts) in 2027, and to get there requires community support. We have launched the Encore!
