It's not every day you can see a world-renowned baroque orchestra live.

Tafelmusik has set the standard for period performances for over 40 years. Synonymous with virtuosity, passion, and artistic excellence. Their discography has toured in more than 350 cities across 32 countries and earned them 10 JUNO Awards along the way. 

Baroque orchestras are unique because of their use of chordal instruments (such as harpsichord, organ, or lute) rather than the piano, since the latter hadn't been invented yet. Unlike classical music, Baroque pieces have multiple overlapping melodies which creates a grandiose sound that feels alive.

This fall, Tafelmusik brings a new program that blends live music with storytelling, theatrical lighting, and image projections. Baritone Jonathan Woody joins as narrator and singer. His voice guides the audience through a performance that unfolds like a journey.
