Assistant Technical Services Manager
(Contract Full-Time)
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Assistant Technical Services Manager plays a key role in the delivery of quality, effective technical services to users of the Fredericton Playhouse.
Working directly with artists, user groups and other team members, the successful candidate will have a desire to meet and exceed expectations in a customer-centric role. A member of the organization’s management team, they embrace collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement in their approach to their work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients and artists to ascertain and meet their needs for technical
services - Act as the lead on site manager/supervisor for performances, rehearsal, and other
activities - Manage/Supervise the work of technical crews for each assigned event
- Attend management meetings and participate in management team eorts such as
organizational planning, improvement and monitoring - Other duties as may be prescribed by the Technical Services Manager
The ideal candidate:
- Demonstrates strong supervisory, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;
- Works well under pressure, is able to work in a flexible schedule (including evenings and
weekends); - Has a personal passion for the performing arts.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to supervise a diverse compliment of full-time
and casual employees in a unionized (IATSE) working environment. They will have a good working
knowledge of various areas of technical services and theatrical production equipment and
operations.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and training. In addition to a comprehensive
benefits package, the starting salary range for this position is $1,500 to $2100 bi-weekly.
